Mission is a significant part of Gilgal’s ministry.
Strong ties are maintained and practical support offered to a range of missionary organisations including BMS, HMF, Latin Link, SIM, Blythswood Trust and Support for Romania, Compassion and Tear Fund.
In more personal terms, the Gilgal fellowship has supported members to work as missionaries in foreign fields.
Gilgal also supports missionaries in Thailand and Romania.
Below is a live feed to the BMS World Mission site. This will keep you informed on what God is doing round the world through BMS through stories, videos and podcasts – they’re all there and are regularly updated

What we did in 2015:
This has been an interesting year, the start of which saw us hosting Richard Fuller and Kathy Green from the BMS Thailand action team. This couple did a sterling job of taking the gospel to schools and retirement homes as well as being in fellowship with ourselves.
We then switched our attention closer to home (or farther away depending on your paradigm), with an evening for Pete and Kate to feed back to the church on their time in Africa, while we got to sample the delights of Ungali and other foods of the region.
Next up came a bit of fund raising for Bethel school in Uganda, the team raising nearly £700 through a sponsored run and a ladies pamper evening undertaken by Rosie and Emily Perkins helped out by Bev Poulton. This money is being used to build the foundations of a new senior school.
Christmas saw us taking up our Christmas day collection, this year amounting to over £1000 given to our Korean friends the Ra’s for their work in Tanzania – and this in addition to our collection of sweets and shoe boxes filled with goodies for needy children. Our thanks to Porthcawl Comprehensive School for their help in this and our ongoing collection of Easter eggs for Romania.
What we plan to do in 2016:
In February 2016 we expect a visit from the Popas returning to Britain for a few days from Romania and sharing about their work with an After School Club for disadvantaged children.
Space will not allow us to record all that Gilgal is doing on the missionary fronts from the sponsoring of children, to the Leprosy mission, to supporting our link missionaries the Trendells, who have done so much for refugees on the borders of Thailand. We look forward to a visit of the Gibsons who have been working in Burkina Faso, choosing who will be our next link missionaries, hosting visiting missionaries and continuing to support the work of the great commission.
